There are several fun things to do when planning a trip to work with Appalachian Ministries. Natural Bridge State park offers hiking trails, a sky lift, swimming pool, camping sites and lodging at the Hemlock Lodge or local cabins and motels. Hemlock Lodge has buffet type dining and full menu.
At the Natural Bridge Trading Company 606-663-6379 you can collect information on local interests and do a bit of shopping in their rustic store.
The Sky Lift 606-663-2922 will take you to the top of Natural Bridge. Open daily from 10-5:30 Easter weekend through the last Sunday in October. Adults $7 Children $6 3 and under Free This is well worth the time and money-- you will enjoy the view. If you are afraid of heights-- skip this!

Drive through the scenic Red River Gorge. Drive through "Nada Tunnel" a hand hewn tunnel, see nature's beauty and visit Sky Bridge. They have a very nice visitor's center with detailed displays of animals and plant life in the area, history of the people and a video with scenes from the mountains.
Canoes are available to rent in in the Red River Gorge to take a trip down the river.
We recommend the Travel Wise Motel in Beattyville. A Dairy Queen is next door for convient meals.
